Officially purpose

Officially Purpose was born as Jessie Deon Bradley within an area of Brooklyn called East New York and raised in Bedford-Stuyvesant. His parents had six children and he was the third oldest in line. Before the age of twelve , he started getting into all different kinds of music such as Rap, R&B, Rock, and Old School Hip Hip. By the age of twelve, he started out writing rhymes with a close friend named Lasheen and then decided to form duo developed the names Supreme L (Lasheen) and Mr Jiggy (Jessie).

As time passed, Jools (Jessie’s younger brother) completed the rap group called Hot Pursuit. At this time, Mr Jiggy changed his name to Jay Spazzo and then Spazzo. This group wrote their first song which was never publicized called All We do. During the time that Hot Pursuit was active, They battled other artist and recorded multiple songs. Hot Pursuit use to walk the streets of Brooklyn with Djbkstorm and Ya Boy Clip and freestyle out loud. Later on, Jools decided to give his life to God and left the group.

Then two other childhood friends known as Unxown (Everett) and pretty boy Jae Hunta (Jason) decided to joined group which changed to G.M.N (Get Money Niggas). Supreme built a homemade studio in his one bedroom apartment which G.M.N spent a lot of time recording and hanging out. Spazzo released his first solo song called fall back and then record his second called Prove me wrong. Slowly, G.M.N started to fall apart as Spazzo and Unxown battled each other to see who is the better rapper. Finally, Supreme gave up rapping because nobody wanted to rap anymore and removed the homemade studio from his apartment.

In 2008, he had a daughter and decided to move to Concord, New Hampshire with his babymother. After he moved to New Hampshire, he started going to college for Criminal Justice. While he was in College he met a guy name Eddie who was going to school for business. One day, Jessie let Eddie listen to his old music and Ed fell in love with his sound. Ed tried to convince Jessie to get back into music but he wasn’t interested.

The next time Ed and Jessie met up, Ed was managing an artist. During that time Jessie made up his mind what he really wanted to do with his and life and decided to become an artist again. Also, he was sick and tired of how ridiculous music has become. So, he decided to let Ed manage him and decided on calling himself Purpo$e. The reason he to chose to call himself Purpo$e is because he believes that he has a purpose within the music industry. In 2020, Purpose releases his first project called Reality Check on SoundCloud, Spinrilla, Audiomack, and my mixtapez.

I have listened to a lot of different artist and I believe who inspires me is Biggie, Eminem, J Cole, Kendrick Lamar, Jay Z, and Joyner Lucas. What keeps me going is my love for music. When I was younger, I listened to a lot of Michael Jackson, Motown and old Church songs. As I got old I got into blues music and started playing the guitar. In my opinion, music is a universal language that no one can take away from you.
